About Me
I am a first-year Ph.D student in the Electrical & Computer Engineering department at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. My area of research is in power electronics, particularly in matrix converter topologies applied to a variety of applications such as isolated motor drives, switched power amplifiers and single-wire earth return power transmission.
Background
Originally from Kolkata, India, I spent all twelve years of formal schooling in Chennai and a few years after in Pune. As might be obvious, I speak multiple Indian languages! I got my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur formerly known as Bengal Engineering & Science University. Interested in power electronics research, I decided to pursue a Masters in ECE at WEMPEC, UW-Madison
